Monkey Jobi smart finds a way to beat the summer heat

Summer in the forest was always hot, but this year the heat felt unbearable. The leaves drooped, the river shrank into a thin silver ribbon, and even the birds preferred to nap instead of sing. Among all the animals struggling under the blazing sun, Monkey Jobi suffered the most. His thick fur trapped heat like a blanket, and every time he tried to swing from tree to tree, the sun scorched his back. Jobi knew he had to find a clever solution—after all, he was known throughout the jungle as the smartest monkey around.

One morning, while searching for a shady spot to rest, Jobi noticed something interesting near the edge of the forest. A group of villagers were packing away large blocks of ice delivered for their market stalls. Some pieces had chipped off and been left melting in the dirt. Curious, Jobi crept closer. The cool mist rising from the ice brushed against his face, and instantly, he felt refreshed. That was when an idea sparked in his mind—an idea only Jobi could come up with.

He returned the next day at dawn, when the villagers were distracted preparing their goods. Silently and swiftly, Jobi grabbed a few small chunks of ice and carried them back into the forest. The ice was slippery and cold against his palms, but he held on tightly. When he reached the tallest mango tree—his favorite resting place—Jobi set the ice inside a hollow in the trunk. As the ice slowly melted, a chilled breeze drifted through the branches, turning the hot treehouse into a refreshing escape. Jobi sighed happily as he lounged against the trunk, enjoying the cool air swirling around him.

But Jobi’s creativity didn’t stop there. He began using large leaves to direct the dripping water into a tiny pool he dug at the base of the tree. Soon he had his very own mini cooling station—a place where he could splash, drink, and relax whenever the sun grew fierce. Word spread quickly among the forest creatures, and soon they gathered around Jobi’s tree, curious about his invention. Instead of keeping it to himself, Jobi proudly shared his discovery, showing the others how to build their own cooling spots.

By the end of the week, the forest was filled with tiny pools, shaded breezes, and happy animals. Thanks to Monkey Jobi’s smart thinking, everyone found relief from the summer heat. And though the sun still burned brightly above, the jungle felt a little cooler, a little kinder, and a lot more like home—thanks to Jobi’s clever mind.
