Monkey Baby Bon Bon was known throughout the forest as the most curious little monkey of all. With his bright eyes, tiny hands, and boundless energy, he explored every corner of the jungle—swinging from vines, poking at shiny beetles, and giggling at the echo of his own chatter. But Bon Bon had one habit that was not so adorable: he tended to drop things wherever he pleased. Banana peels, fruit pits, candy wrappers left behind by tourists—Bon Bon never thought twice about where his trash landed.
One early morning, Bon Bon scampered through the trees eating a sweet mango. When he finished, he tossed the sticky pit onto the forest floor and dashed away. The pit rolled, bounced, and—quite unfortunately—landed right beside the home of the Dark Fairy.
The Dark Fairy was not evil, but she was serious. Very, very serious. And if there was one thing she despised more than sour berries, it was litter.
When she spotted the mango pit, she narrowed her ink-black eyes. “Someone has disturbed my grove,” she whispered. “And they must learn a lesson.”
With a swirl of violet smoke, she summoned a spell that drifted through the forest until it found Monkey Baby Bon Bon. The magic seized him mid-swing and gently lowered him to the ground.
“Monkey,” the Dark Fairy said, appearing before him, “your carelessness is disrupting the balance of this forest.”
Bon Bon gulped. “I—I didn’t mean to!”
“But you did,” she replied. With a tap of her wand, she transformed the ground around him into a vision of what litter could do: rivers clogged with trash, animals tangled in plastic, trees wilting under piles of waste. Bon Bon’s eyes widened in horror.
“I never knew it was so bad,” he whispered.
The Dark Fairy softened. “Then learn. Protect your home. Clean what you have dirtied. Teach others to care.”
Bon Bon nodded earnestly. From that day on, he picked up every scrap he found, even ones he hadn’t dropped. He taught younger monkeys how to compost fruit waste and helped the birds build recycling nests for shiny objects humans left behind. The forest grew healthier, brighter, cleaner.
And the Dark Fairy? She watched from the shadows, a faint smile on her usually stern face.
