Smart Jobi wakes up early to find breakfast

Smart Jobi was not like the other little robots in the house. While most machines waited for commands, Jobi had learned to think a little on his own. Every morning, he powered on earlier than anyone else, humming softly as his tiny blue lights blinked awake. Today was no different—except that Jobi had a mission.

He was hungry.

Of course, robots don’t get hungry the way humans do, but Jobi required a special energy capsule each morning. Usually, his human friend Tara set one out for him before leaving for school. But today, she had rushed out so quickly that Jobi’s breakfast sat forgotten somewhere in the big, cluttered house.

So Jobi decided to find it himself.

He rolled out of his charging dock and scanned the living room. No capsule. Only socks, toys, and Tara’s backpack lying open on the floor. Jobi beeped thoughtfully. Tara often forgot things, but she was never careless with his breakfast.

He zipped toward the kitchen.

The kitchen was quiet except for the soft ticking of the old clock on the wall. Jobi extended his tiny robotic arm and pressed a button beneath the counter. Drawers slid open one by one. Forks, spoons, napkins—but no energy capsule. He checked the fruit basket, peeked behind the toaster, and even scanned the refrigerator, though he knew humans liked to store things in strange places.

Still nothing.

Jobi paused. Where would Tara have put it if she had been in a hurry? Then he remembered something: Tara had been packing her things while snacking in the hallway. Maybe she had set his capsule down near the front door.

Jobi hurried there as fast as his wheels could carry him.

And there it was—right on top of Tara’s shoes, glowing faintly. Jobi chirped happily, scooped up the capsule, and placed it gently into the slot on his chest. A warm buzz filled his system. Energy flooded back into his circuits.

Breakfast at last!

Feeling proud, Jobi rolled to the window and looked outside. The sun was just rising, painting the sky in pink and gold. Tara wouldn’t be home for hours, but Jobi didn’t mind. He had solved the morning’s mystery all on his own.

Jobi returned to his dock, humming contentedly. After all, being smart wasn’t just about thinking—it was about taking care of yourself and the ones you love.
